Regathering for Worship

Jun 13, 2021

St. James has regathered for masked, in person worship beginning Sunday, June 13, 2021. It has been a long 15 months of not being able to worship in our Church or gather for various parish activities and ministries, so we have had to be adaptive in finding safe ways for our community to care for each other, nourish our faith, continue our community engagement, and be strong as the Body of Christ. I am grateful for your trust in the leadership of St. James during this pandemic, and as I put in place the many details of the plan to regather, I joyfully anticipate your return to in person, inside, worship and ministry at St. James. The following guidelines are based on our current situation of Covid cases in our Roanoke-Alleghany health district, our vaccination rate among our adults and children at St. James, and an alertness to Covid19 variants that may threaten us in our community. Things change and evolve, as we have seen over the past 15 months, so our policies will change too; my prayer is that we can ease our restrictions in the weeks and months to come.
